Terms and Conditions

DEPOSIT POLICY

We require a deposit of the first night’s room rate and tax, which will be charged at the time of confirming your reservation. At time of check-in, the guest will be required to present the same method of payment as used when booking online, or will be required to provide an alternative method of payment.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Except as set forth for specific dates below, cancellations must be received at least 72 hours prior to arrival date or deposit (if applicable) will be forfeited. Early departures will be subject to a penalty fee equal to the room rate and tax for the night on which the guest departed early if notice is not received prior to check-in. 

PARKING INFORMATION

Self-parking at our resort is complimentary for all guests, subject to availability.

GUEST BEHAVIOR STANDARDS

Golden Point Resort is committed to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests and employees. If anyone interferes with your safety or enjoyment at our resort, please contact the nearest security officer.  Behavior we consider to be inappropriate and disrespectful is prohibited. This includes:

  1. Unruly behavior, threatening or obscene gestures, fighting or violence, Swearing and heavily influenced by alcohol or any appearing to be intoxicated as determined by Golden Point Resort.

  2. Derogatory and threatening language including offensive remarks about race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation, national origin, pregnancy, or other legal protected classifications.

  3. Clothing deemed, at our discretion, to not confirm to dress codes in restaurants, nightclubs, pools and elsewhere. Also, clothing deemed to be offensive or indecent is prohibited.

  4. Possession of a weapon

  5. Stealing, damaging, or misusing any property.

  6. Possession or use of Cannabis or illegal drugs.

  7. Any other inappropriate conduct as determined by Golden Point  Resort.

Golden Point Resorts reserves the right to take all actions permitted by applicable law for violations of this policy.

OTHER POLICIES

  1. Only registered guests will be permitted access to hotel rooms and villas.

  2. A valid credit card authorized to cover room and tax, plus $100 a night for incidentals must be presented upon check-in at Golden Point Resort rooms and Villas 

  3. There will be a $50 surcharge added for each guest exceeding  the limit as applicable.

  4. Maximum occupancy for all standard rooms rooms is 2 adults or 2 adults and a child below the age of 13. Deluxe rooms maximum capacity is 4 people. Executive Deluxe maximum capacity is 4 people. Two bedroom Villa maximum capacity is 6 people.Interconnecting Villa Maximum 5 adults.  A fee of $50 per person will be applied to any room or suite in excess of maximum occupancy.  Violations will result in eviction and trespass from property.

  5. Check-in time after 2 p.m., check-out time before 11 a.m.

  6. Guest must be at least 18 years of age for check-in.

  7. Outside food and cooking, as well as large coolers, are not permitted at the Resort.  Guests arriving with these items will be required to discard these items or leave them in their vehicle for the duration of their visit.

  8. Third-party massage vendors are prohibited and will not be granted access to guest rooms.

  9. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the Resort.

Age Requirement: All Guests must be 18 years or older to make guest room reservations, be 16 years and older to be accommodated at the Resort and to visit any of the restaurants or bars at Golden Point Resort. All guests must present a valid photo ID during registration and when acquiring Day or Night Passes for age verification.Other conditions and restrictions may apply for group bookings. Person booking on behalf of the group will be responsible for the group payments and waives the Resort of liability.

Activities and Equipment Use: All guests who chose to participate in the various planned or independent activities organized by members of the Resort staff or engaged in without supervision must be 18 years or older and will be asked to review and sign a waiver of responsibility. Such waivers may call for the reimbursement for lost or damaged items such as the use of the kayaks, snorkeling gears or other items that are provided by the Resort free of charge.

Cancellation Policy: Terms of cancellation vary by time of year and package or promotion reserved. Please refer to the cancellation terms applicable on the particular booking reserved prior to confirming your requested accommodations. Usually, all confirmed reservations not canceled at least one day prior to arrival  will be the responsibility of the traveller. Cancellations received within the 48-hour period or a “no show” will incur one night’s room and tax charge to be assessed to the credit card on file. Please provide notice of cancellation before 1:00 pm the day prior to arrival to avoid a penalty of one night’s room & tax. During high season and special events, the time period may increase to up to fourteen (7) days prior to arrival and could include forfeiture of full payment made for the entire stay.

Check In/Checkout for Hotel Guests: check-in time is 2:00 pm and check out time is 11:00 am. The hotel will make every effort to personalize our guests' stays if provided estimated time of arrival (ETA) information at the time of reservation. Late check-out requests may be made through the Reception Desk or Reservation Services and are subject to determination based on Hotel occupancy. Additional charges may apply. Free luggage storage is offered up until 5pm on the day of departure.

Deposit/Guarantee: All reservations must be guaranteed for arrival by first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card with expiration date. The Hotel does not usually charge the card on file until check-in or on a no-show reservation.  The resort is not obligated to hold any reservation unless secured by an approved and confirmed guarantee method. Except on prepaid or third party reservations, guests may use another form of acceptable payment for their accommodations upon check-in.

Guest Privacy: The privacy of our guests is important to us. Please do not photograph or video other guests without their consent.

Hotel Payment Policy: In order for guest accommodations to be issued, at the time of check-in sufficient credit credentials for payment of accommodations including deposits for incidental charges must be provided through the authorization of a debit or credit card. When a debit or credit card is presented for authorization, please be advised that a credit hold in the amount of the charge including any provision for incidental charges will be placed on the banking account. Credit holds on debit cards may take up to 5-7 business days to be returned as available funds to your debit account. Card value holds are not processed to your credit card as charges if an actual charge is not processed. Cash payment is acceptable.

Accepted Methods of Payment:

  1. Master Card

  2. Visa

  3. Cash (demand receipt)


Cyclone Reservation Policy: Golden Point Resort will waive any cancellation or no-show fees if Fiji is place under a Cyclone Warning. Guests who are unable to arrive at the Resort due to a Cyclone warning must notify the Resort of cancellation prior to check-in date.Failure to notify the Resort may result in the assessment of a cancellation penalty being applied.

Guests whose arrival is impacted, as stated above, may choose to:

  1. Apply any pre-payments to a future stay for the same number of nights, in the same room category, within the next calendar year. The resort will honour the rate paid for the original reservation booking on newly rescheduled dates for reservations in the same room category as originally booked, subject to availability and excluding: all holidays.

 -OR-

  1. Receive a refund of any pre-payments made less any transactional costs. .


Late Check-out Policy: Check-out time is 11am on your day of departure. Based on our  resort, those wishing to extend their check-out are provided options based on your anticipated departure time.  For rates, terms and condition. Mosquito and Pest Prevention: Use of larvacide and Pest Control pesticide in the Resort. Fogging treatments are 360 days per annum with treatment times in both morning and evenings to prevent mosquitoes and pests.

Music: No personal speakers, portable music players or boom-box or any sort allowed

Pet Policy: Service animals and Pets are allowed on or in the resort at the discretion of the Resort.Please advise when making a reservation if bringing a pet into the Resort so we may prepare for the arrival accordingly.Pets can not be brought into the Resort without prior written confirmation by the Resort. Additional cleaning fees may apply in the event of damage or the need for deep cleaning due to excessive hygiene issues caused by the pet with your accommodations. 

 Mini-Bars: Our rooms and Villas are not stocked and may be used to store your own personal items purchased during your visit. No meat, Fish and cooked food is allowed to be stored in the Mini Bars.

Special Occasion Decoration Policy

Guests are welcome to decorate or have their room decorated for special occasions provided the following terms and conditions are followed:

  1. A refundable deposit in the amount of $200.00 must be paid prior to arrival. Housekeeping will inspect the room on departure and provide clearance to the reception to proceed with the refund of the deposit.

  2. Decoration will be made by guests themselves or their designated decorator.

  3. Decoration should be made without damaging any of the in-room amenities

  4. No staples, tacks, pins, two-way tape or nails are permitted.

  5. Decoration should not damage paint, furniture, wall, ceiling etc.

  6. Mounting to the ceiling is prohibited.

  7. Decoration is usually done, either with helium balloons or flowers or both.

  8. No glitter or similar confetti is permitted.

  9. Champagne/cake or any additional amenities can be provided at an additional charge as part of the celebration.

  10. Only battery operated candles are permitted.


External decorator (vendor / Non-guest) – Should guests wish for an external vendor or decorator to decorate their room, will need to adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. The resort requires 48 hours’ notice of any and all decorating requests. The reserved guest must send an email to goldenpointresort@gmail.com  requesting guestroom access for the external decorator.

  2. Once request has been approved by management: 

    • Security management will issue a visitors pass and have it ready for the decorator on arrival to the resort.

    • A clean room will be made available for decorating on the day of arrival by 1:00 PM.

  3. The decorator must present a valid photo id


Smoking Policy: Should it be determined that smoking has taken place in a guestroom, the hotel will charge a $350.00 cleaning fee, placed on the guest folio before or after check-out. Designated smoking clearly marked areas may be found outdoors around the resort grounds. •    Use, possession and dealing of Marijuana and any other controlled substances is illegal.
